Embedded / Video Engineer

About the job

I am are looking for an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join our growing PC audio test team. This team is responsible for ensuring superior audio experience.


Job type: 6+ contract (expected extension)
Location: Remote in Europe
Client: Embedded Software Company



**US Citizen or Green Card Holder's only - Cannot provide sponsorship at this time***


•Experience with Media Set-Top boxes 

•Rockchip experience -REQUIRED

•In-depth knowledge with ffmpeg, gstreamer & mpv 

•7+ years’ experience minimum. 


 
1.Write code and configuration to enable playing media on innovative new hardware running Linux. 

2.Write device drivers and application code to enable high-resolution graphics, video, and audio on the platform 

3.Debug existing applicaiton code, refactoring it if needed to be performant, extensible and reliable 

4.Have a strong sense of ownership about the product, advocating to make it better in every way Essential Skills and Attributes 



5.7+ years of commercial experience in relevant software development 

6.Demonstrated ability to write good-quality, robust and testable code 

7.Expert knowledge of C/C++/C# and embedded systems - especially multi-threaded code 

8.Experience with open source video and audio solutions, especially mpv, ffmpeg, gstreamer, etc. 

9.Expert knowledge of Embedded System development, especially low latency and real-time systems
