Overview: As a Procurement Manager within our company, you will play a vital role in overseeing the procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential for our operations. Leveraging your expertise in strategic sourcing and supplier management, you will develop and implement procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and maintain supplier relationships to optimize supply chain efficiency and drive cost savings. Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality standards while meeting business objectives and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, budgetary constraints, and quality standards.
Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify potential suppliers, conduct vendor assessments, and evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, and delivery performance.
Supplier Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements, to secure cost-effective contracts while mitigating risks.
Procurement Process Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition processing, purchase order management, and vendor selection, to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and addressing issues to ensure continuity of supply and quality consistency.
Cost Optimization: Analyze procurement spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives to optimize procurement costs, improve operational efficiency, and maximize value for the organization.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured goods and services meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to define quality criteria and conduct supplier audits as needed.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, minimize excess inventory, and mitigate stockouts to support operational needs while controlling costs.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
Contract Management: Manage procurement contracts throughout their lifecycle, monitor contract performance, and enforce compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
Procurement Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, conducting periodic reviews and audits to assess adherence and identify areas for improvement.
Market Research and Supplier Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies, conducting market research and supplier evaluations to identify opportunities for innovation and supplier development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (7 to 10 years) in procurement or supply chain management, must be in the food and beverage industry.
In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing principles, and supplier management practices.
Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor relationship management skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, with experience in procurement module implementation preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead procurement teams.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
